End-to-End App Development Services — What It Should Actually Include
Many companies claim end-to-end app development. Here is what it should genuinely include — and how to verify before you sign.
"End-to-end" is one of those phrases that gets used a lot in app development marketing. In theory it means handling everything from concept to launch and beyond. In practice, what it covers varies enormously between companies.
Here is what genuine end-to-end app development should include — and the questions to verify to verify.
The Actual Phases of End-to-End Development
Discovery (Weeks 1-2). Understanding your business, your users, and your goals deeply enough to make good technical decisions. This is where requirements get documented and the scope gets defined. A company that skips this and goes straight to development will cause problems you will not discover until month 3.
Design (Weeks 2-5). UI/UX design for every screen, done in Figma, reviewed and approved before development begins. Ask specifically: do they do design in-house or outsource it? Who does the design — a dedicated designer or a developer doing their best?
Development (Weeks 4-20, depending on scope). The actual building. Weekly demos are the right cadence — you should see working features regularly, not just hear progress updates.
Testing (2-3 weeks). Manual testing across real devices and OS versions. Not just "we test as we go" but a dedicated testing phase before submission.
App Store Submission (1-2 weeks). Both stores, both review processes, handling any feedback or rejections. Ask: have they submitted apps to both stores before? What was their experience with Apple rejections?
Post-Launch Support. What happens after launch? What is the response time for production bugs? Is post-launch support included or extra?
The Verification Questions
Before signing:
Who specifically does the design work? A dedicated designer or a developer?
Who specifically does the coding — can I meet them?
Have you submitted apps to the Apple App Store? What has your experience been with Apple rejections?
What is explicitly included in post-launch support and for how long?
A company that gives clear, specific answers to all of these is demonstrating actual experience. A company that hedges or gives vague answers probably has not done all of this properly before.
At Rooted Tech, we have done all of this — including dealing with Apple rejections on NestSpace as our proof. We can answer every one of these questions specifically. Reach out at rootedtech.in/contact.
