Flutter App Development Services — What You Actually Get in 2026
What do Flutter app development services include? Here is a clear breakdown of what you should expect when you hire a Flutter development team.
When you hire a Flutter development company, you are buying a service that should cover much more than just writing code. Here is what a complete Flutter development engagement should look like — and how to tell if a company is delivering it properly.
What Should Be Included
Requirements clarification and scoping. Before writing a line of code, a good Flutter team will ask a lot of questions. Who are the users? What are the 5 most important features? What does success look like in 6 months? This scoping conversation produces a detailed specification document — the blueprint for everything that follows.
UI/UX design. Flutter apps live and die by their user interface. Designs should be done in Figma first, reviewed and approved by you, before any development begins. Building without approved designs leads to expensive revision cycles during development.
Flutter development (obviously). The actual coding in Dart. For most apps, this covers both iOS and Android from a single codebase — one of Flutter's main advantages.
Firebase backend setup. Unless you have an existing backend, the Firebase configuration — Firestore schema design, authentication, Cloud Functions, security rules, FCM push notifications — should be part of the service.
Third-party integrations. Payments (Razorpay/Stripe), Google Maps, VoIP, SMS OTP, social login — each integration your app needs should be planned, scoped, and included in the engagement.
Testing. Manual testing on real devices across different OS versions. Finding bugs before your users do.
App Store submission. Building the release version, creating store listings, writing descriptions, uploading screenshots, submitting for review, and handling any feedback from Apple or Google. This is often underestimated by clients and underscoped by developers.
Post-launch support. A minimum of 30 days of bug fixing after launch. Production bugs appear in production — they cannot be fully prevented in testing.
What Rooted Tech Specifically Delivers
We built NestSpace as our live example — a rental platform live on both stores — entirely ourselves. Every item in the list above is something we have done in production, not just in client demos.
When you hire us, you are working directly with the people who have been through the full cycle. Reach out at rootedtech.in/contact.
