Cost of App Development in Pune in 2026 — What to Realistically Expect

App development costs in Pune vary enormously — from Rs 25,000 for what is essentially a template with your logo to Rs 40 lakh for a serious platform. The problem is that the people quoting at both ends will often describe their work in similar terms.

Here is what you actually get at different price points.

Rs 25,000 to Rs 75,000

At this price point, you are almost certainly getting a template-based app. Someone has taken an existing app template, changed the colors, added your logo and content, and called it a custom app. It might look acceptable on the surface.

What you will not get: custom features, a proper backend, scalable architecture, App Store submission, or any meaningful post-launch support. The developer at this price point is typically a student or very junior developer who has not shipped a production app.

This is appropriate for: honestly, very little. If your budget is genuinely this limited, a mobile-responsive website will serve you better than this quality of app.

Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh

Genuine app development — custom designed, custom built, with a proper Firebase backend. A junior to mid-level Flutter developer with some production experience.

What you get at this level: a working app that covers your core use case, basic UI design, Firebase authentication and database, push notifications, and App Store submission for one platform (usually Android first).

What you will not get: polished UI/UX design, both platforms simultaneously (though you can add iOS later), admin panel, or complex features like real-time chat, payments, or maps.

Rs 4 lakh to Rs 12 lakh

This is where serious app development happens. Both iOS and Android, polished UI/UX design, complete feature set including authentication, complex backend logic, third-party integrations (payments, maps, etc.), admin panel, App Store submission on both platforms, and 30 to 60 days of post-launch support.

This is the range where most startup MVPs and business apps should be. An experienced small studio in Pune working at this level.

Rs 12 lakh and Above

Full platforms — marketplace apps, two-sided platforms, apps with complex real-time features, large feature sets, and ongoing development relationships. Enterprise-level work.
